Take oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and as they splutter add onion
Cook the onion till translucent and then add salt and other dry spices.
Add boiled mashed potatoes and mix well.
Let it cool then make equal size balls with this mix.
Add salt,red chilli powder,baking soda and carrom seeds to the gram flour.
Make a smooth batter with water.
Dip the balls in this batter and fry them in oil on medium flame till golden brown.
Serve hot with chutneys.
