Very easy and quick potato recipe which comes to the rescue when one has no clue about which side dish to make in dinner or lunch.  Tastes best when served chilled with Indian breads.

Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 medium Potatoes boiled, peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes


  • 2 cups curd/yogurt whisked


  • 2 Green chillies finely chopped


  • 2 pinches Asafoetida


  • 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder + for sprinkling


  • 1/4 teaspoon Roasted cumin powder + for sprinkling


  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste


  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mint powder


  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar (optional)


  • 1 teaspoon coriander leaves chopped

Directions

  • Add all the dried spices, green chillies, cubed potatoes, salt, asafoetida and sugar mix well
  • Add water to adjust the consistency of the raita.
  • Transfer the potato mixture into a serving bowl.
  • Sprinkle red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder and chopped coriander leaves and serve chilled with pooris, parantha or rice.
