Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1 medium size onion


  • 1/2 spoon chilly powder


  • 1/8 spoon turmeric


  • 1/2 spoon garam masala


  • 3 green chillies


  • 1/2 spoon ginger garlic paste


  • 1 spoon jeera


  • 1 cup basumati rice


  • 2 large potatoes


  • 1/4 spoon each shahjeera, jeera, somp


  • 1 each tej patta, cinnamon


  • 4cloves


  • 1/2 cup curds


  • 2 spoon ghee


  • 1 spoon salt


  • 3 spoon oil

Directions

  • grind one onion, half spoon chilly powder, turmeric, half spoon garam masala, three green chilly, ginger garlic, jeera without adding water
  • soak basumati rice
  • cut potato into one inch dice and fry in oil with turmeric and salt. keep aside
  • heat two spoon oil add shah jeera, jeera, tej patta, somp, cinnamon and cloves
  • add ground masala and saute
  • add fried potato and saute
  • add curds and saute till oil oizes out
  • now add basumathi rice, salt, one and half cup water and cook on slow flametill done
  • add ghee and mix
  • serve hot with pudina raita
