Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 5Big potatoes


  • 1Cup senagapindi/besan flour


  • 1Tablespoon salt


  • 1Tablespoon red chilly powder


  • 1Pinch ingua/asafoteida


  • 1Teaspoon vaamu/ajwain


  • 1Cup water


  • 1Cup oil


  • 1Pinch soda uppu/baking soda

Directions

  • In a bowl add water, peel potatoes and slice them you can use grater or knife
  • Add these sliced potatoes in water to avoid change in colour
  • In other bowl add senagapindi, salt, red chilly powder, ingua, baking soda, vaamu mix verything well with water
  • Adjut consistency of water neither too thick nor flowing consistency
  • Set aside for 10 to 15 min meanwhile place oil for deep frying
  • Now take potato slices and dip in mixture and allow excess mixture to flow off and slowly drop in oil
  • Fry till golden brown and serve hot
