Wash rice two times as you do for cooking rice
Dry roast pappu/dal in a pan and mix with rice
Now add 3 cups of water to this and preassure cook for 5 whistles because this should be so soft not like a regular rice
In other bowl add jaggery and add water till jaggery is immersed and place on stove
Jaggery starts melting slowly after it is melted completely add this to cooked rice
Now add edible camphor and place on stove again for 4 to 5 minutes
In a pan add ghee and fry cashew and kismis and add to pongali
This tastes better when served 🔥 hot...
