Ingredients

  • 1_for aloo tikki


  • 5_6 medium sized potatoes boiled


  • 1 onion chopped 1/2 cup capsicum chopped 1/4 cup capsicum chopped 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder 1-2 green chilli chopped 1 tbsp coriander leaves chopped 1 tsp ginger and garlic paste 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp garam masala 1 tsp pavbhaji masala 1/2 tsp cumin powder 1/2 tsp coriander powder 2 tsp for frying tikkies 2____for roti ingredients 1,1/2 cup all purpose flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 water as required to make dough 3_ for Frankie masala 1 tsp cumin seeds roasted salt to taste 1/2 tsp rrd chilli powder 3---for topping 1 medium size onion thinly sliced 1 tsp coriander leaves chopped

Directions

  • Making aloo tikkies
  • Peel and grate boiled potatoes in a bowl
  • In a kadahi or pan heat 1 tbsp butter or ghee
  • Add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste,saute for a minute
  • Add chopped onions, saute till translucent
  • Add finely chopped cabbage,carrot, capsicum and add little water so that all veggies cooked well
  • Add boiled potatoes,mix well
  • Add all masala and chopped coriander leaves mix well turn off flame
  • Let it cool
  • Divide the mixture in equal size small balls
  • Give shape of tikki or oval shape
  • Heat oil till medium hot , gently place the tikkies and fry them or shallow fry
  • When one side of tikki becomes golden and crisp,flip over and fry the other side of tikki
  • Once done drain on paper towels to remove excess oil
  • Now make rotis
  • Knead all purpose flour with salt and water to a smooth dough,
  • Cover and keep aside for 30 minutes
  • Place tava on stove top
  • Again knead dough,make small balls dust flour ,roll and make thin chapati
  • Gently place the rolled round chapati on hot tava,
  • When you see small blister and bubbles appearing flip and cook another side with ghee or butter-
  • Apply 1tsp Tomoto sauce on one side of chapati,place aloo tikki,top tikki with sliced onion and sprinkle Frankie masala and chaat masala
  • Bring together both sides of roti
  • Prepare all veg Frankie this way
