Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • Wheat flour - 15Tbsp

  • Onion - 2

  • Poha - 6Tbsp

  • Lemon juice - 1Tsp

  • Chilly powder - 1.5Tsp

  • Turmeric powder - 0.5Tsp

  • Garam masala - 0.5Tsp

  • Coriander leaves - 2 strands

  • Water - 8Tsp as required for dough

  • Oil - 10Tbsp for frying

Directions

  • First of all, prepare the dough for Samosa sheets. I used wheat (Atta) flour. Prepare dough with 1Tsp oil, 1/2Tsp salt and required water in a chapathi dough consistency . Rest it while onion Poha mix is prepared. Mix nicely cut onion and equal amount Poha with chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and finely cut coriander leaves. Add lemon juice and mix well. Now roll dough into thin chapathi (or any shape). Just half cook this sheet on either side. This will help not to tear while samosas are made. Be careful not to over cook. Now cut these sheets to rectangular sheets. The size of sheets depends on the Samosa size you wish. Now roll the rectangular sheets to cone shape. Stick the sides with diluted wheat flour(forms gum like.) .add salt to onion Poha mix just before filling and mix well. Fill in onion Poha mix and again stick the upper side of cone with diluted wheat gum. Refrigerating this Samosa cones makes it stiffer and easy to fry. Heat oil to medium heat and add these cones. Heat in medium flame. Make sure no dark spots are formed on samosas. Once it forms golden red, strain away oil and have it hot... Enjoy hot and spicy crunchy samosas with tea
