Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • Chemeen/Prawns - 1 kg


  • Pachamanga/raw mango - 3 nos (sliced)


  • Mustard seed - 1/2 teaspoon


  • Shallot - 6 (sliced)


  • Green Chilly - 2 (slit)


  • Ginger - (1)a small piece (chopped)


  • Curry Leaves - 1sprig


  • Salt - 1 - 2 tsp to taste


  • Coconut Oil - 2 1/2 tablespoon


  • For gravy:- Grated coconut - 1/2 (coconut)


  • Chilly powder - 1 tablespoon


  • Turmeric Powder - 1/4 teaspoon


  • Water - 1 cup (as per required)

Directions

  • Grind the ingredients for the gravy to a fine paste using a blender.
  • Once the clay pot becomes hot, add cleaned prawns, sliced mango, ginger, green chilly, salt & mix well.
  • Cook the prawns & mango on low flame for few mins, till it tenders.
  • Add coconut gravy & mix well.
  • Once well-cooked, turn off the gas.
  • Heat oil in a pan & add mustard seed, once splutter add sliced shallots, and curry leaves; until light golden brown. Turn off the heat and transfer it immediately to the curry.
  • Mix well and serve with boiled rice.
