Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup quinoa


  • 1 small onion finely chopped


  • 1 small tomato finely chopped


  • 1 green chilli finely chopped


  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves finely chopped


  • 2 tsp lemon juice


  • 1 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp red chilli powder


  • 2 tsp salt or according to your taste


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 3-4 curry leaves


  • 2 tsp oil for cooking

Directions

  • First take quinoa and washed it properly. now in a pan dry roast quinoa for about 3-4 minutes .turn off the burner. keep this aside .
  • Now in a pan add 2 tsp oil ,then add cumin seeds and curry leaves . Now add chopped onion ,green chilli .saute it for about 2-3 minutes . Now add chooped tomatoes . Then add turmeric piwder ,red chilli powder and salt . Mix all ingredients well .
  • Now add 2 cups of water .when water starts boiling then add roasted quinoa . Then add 2 tsp lemon juice .cover it until 6-7 minutes .quinoa upma is ready ,garnish it with chopped coiander leaves . Serve hot .
