Cut soya chap in 2-3 Pieces and deep fry in medium hot oil for 3-4 minutes on low flame.
Take the fried chap in a big bowl.
Add curd, salt, red chilly powder, garam masala, bhuna jeera and mix well.
Keep this for 15 minutes for marination.
In a kadhahi heat up 2 tblspn oil.
Add bay leaf, laung, green cardamom, black pepper corns and roast for few seconds.
Add chopped onions and saute until golden in colour.
In a mixer jar add tomatoes, green chillies, ginger, garlic and make a smooth paste.
When onion becomes golden in colour add tomato paste and mix well.
Add salt to taste and cook for few minutes.
Add dry spices and cook untill oil separates.
Add marinated chap and mix well.
Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add water to adjust the gravy and mix well.
Cover with the lid and cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes.
Open the lid and crushed kasuri methi and garam masala and mix well.
Serve with roti, paratha or naan.
Soya chap is great source of protein and a very good substitute for those who dont eat nonveg.
