Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • Paneer 400 g cut in large equal sized cubes


  • 2 slit green chilies


  • 1-1/2 sliced onion


  • 2 tomatoes sliced (deseeded)


  • 1 capsicum sliced


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1/2 tsp onion seeds/kalonji


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp kashmiri chili powder


  • 1 tbsp coriander powder


  • 1 tsp cumin powder


  • 1 tsp fennel seed powder


  • 1 tsp kasoori methi powder


  • 2-3 tbsp fresh cream


  • 1-1/4 tsp salt or taste


  • 2 tbsp 2 tbsp olive oil


  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves (optional)

Directions

  • Heat 2 tbsp oil in pan. Shallow fry the paneer till lightly golden in color and transfer them to a bowl containing warm water.
  • In the same pan, add remaining oil.
  • Add cumin and onion seeds and saute.
  • Add green chilies and stir fry for few seconds.
  • Now add the onions and saute till they are pink and translucent.
  • Add capsicum and stir fry till slightly wilted but still firm.
  • Add tomatoes and cook until they are mushy.
  • Add all dry masala powders as well as salt to taste. Give it a good stir and then add Paneer. Mix well to coat masala to the paneer. Cook on low heat for 5 minutes.
  • Finally add kasoori methi powder and cream. Mix well. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
