Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 1 cup MAAH KI DAAL


  • 1 big chopped ONION


  • 1 big chopped TOMATO


  • 2 GREEN CHILI chopped


  • 4 to 5 seeds of DHANIYA DANA round ones use for kadhi recipe


  • 1 or 2 sabut RED CHILLI


  • 1 tablespoon CUMIN SEEDS


  • 1 tablespoon CUMIN POWDER


  • 1 tablespoon RED CHILLI POWDER


  • 1 tablespoon TURMERIC


  • 1/3 tablespoon BLACK PEPPER POWDER


  • 1 pinch of HING OR ASAFETIDA


  • 1 tablespoon SUNFLOWER OIL


  • 8 to 9 PIECE OF GINGER AND GARLIC chopped


  • 1 and half tablespoon SALT

Directions

  • Very first soak daal for atleast 3 hours.always add turmeric sunflower oil black pepper powder salt cumin powder
  • Now after 3 hours let wait for 5 to 6 whistles in pressure cooker
  • On the other hand grind all left spices with coriander seeds and cumin seeds and sabut red chilli make a special masala
  • In a hot pan put some oil and roast ginger and garlic
  • Now add chopped onion and make it browned
  • Now add grind masala and chopped tomatoes
  • Add bit water and at low flame stirring tadka for 6 to 7 minutes
  • Add in boiled daal and stir daal until tadka mixed with it perfectly
  • Garnish with coriander leaves yummy daal serve with butter naan
