Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup moongdaal


  • 1 cup fresh brahmi leaves


  • 1 cup spinach


  • 1cup amaranthus leaves


  • 4-5 Green chillies


  • 1 small onion diced


  • 2 red chillies


  • 2 tomatoes


  • 1 small gooseberry size tamarind


  • 1teaspoon turmeric


  • 1teaspoon mustard


  • 1teaspoon jeera


  • 1 tablespoon of oil

Directions

  • Wash moongdaal
  • Wash all green leaves
  • These are fresh brahmi leaves
  • Chopped all fresh leaves. Make 4 pieces of tomato. Add green chillies, tamarind, daal and turmeric in a cooker. Pressure cook for 4-5 whistle. usually consistency will be thick for pappu. can add desired amount of water.
  • Mash cooked daal
  • In a pan heat oil add mustard and jeera. After mustard start popping add red chillies and onions
  • After onions turn golden colour add mashed daal and salt
  • Boil for 3-5 minutes or till nice aromatic. Serve hot with rice
