Wash moongdaal
Wash all green leaves
These are fresh brahmi leaves
Chopped all fresh leaves. Make 4 pieces of tomato. Add green chillies, tamarind, daal and turmeric in a cooker. Pressure cook for 4-5 whistle. usually consistency will be thick for pappu. can add desired amount of water.
Mash cooked daal
In a pan heat oil add mustard and jeera. After mustard start popping add red chillies and onions
After onions turn golden colour add mashed daal and salt
Boil for 3-5 minutes or till nice aromatic. Serve hot with rice
