Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup wheat


  • 1/2 cup sprout moong


  • 1 pinch asafoetida


  • 1 tbsp sugar


  • 2 tbsp ghee


  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder


  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1/4 tsp grated ginger


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • 4 -5 cup water


  • 6-7 curry leaves


  • 1 tbsp chopped green coriander leaves

Directions

  • Soak wheat overnight in water
  • Remove from water , drained and grind in grinder to make coarse texture
  • In pressure cooker heat 1 tbsp ghee,add wheat,roast wheat ,add 1 cup water
  • Close the lid,take 2 whistle
  • Turn off the flame
  • Remove wheat in a bowl
  • Again pour 1 tbsp ghee in cooker
  • Add asafoetida, cumin seeds in hot ghee
  • Add ginger paste,saute well for a minute
  • Add sprout moong,wheat in cooker
  • Add salt,sugar,red chilli powder,haldi powder,mix with spatula
  • Add 4 cups water
  • Again cover the lif,take 3 whistle
  • Turn off flame
  • Pour the khichdi in bowl
  • Sprinkle curry leaves,and coriander leaves
