  • Whole Masoor Dal 2 cup Rice 1 cup (soaked 30 minutes) Chopped onion 2 Tomato 1 Garlic 4-5 cloves Ginger 1 small piece Cumin 1 tsp Dry coriander powder 1tsp Garam masala 1/2 tsp Turmeric 1 tsp Salt to taste Oil 2 tsp Ladoo :- Chopped onion 1 Chopped coriander 2 tsp Chopped green chillies 2

    Wash dal and cook in a pressure cooker with salt and 1/2 turmeric till first whistle on high flame Shift in small low flame and cook for 20 minutes Heat oil in a pan Add cumin ,fry for 30 seconds Add onions and fry  till golden brown on high flame In between grind tomato, ginger, garlic and green chillies  Add tomato mixture keep flame medium Add whole masale and fry till oil remove on high flame...stir between  Add in tadaka in boiled dal ..stir well Rice:- Boil 2 cup water in a pan Add salt and 1 tsp oil..stir Add soaked rice .stir Cover and wait for first boil Shift on low flame cook for 10 minutes Turn off flame Ladoo:- Mix 1/2 cup cooked dal in 1cup cooked rice

    Ladoo:- Mix 1/2 cup cooked dal in 1cup cooked rice

    Add chopped onion, green chillies, chopped coriander ...mix well

    Make ladoo

    Heat Appam utensil on medium flame Put ladoo and cook for a minute

    Turn carefully and cook other side for another minute Remove in a plate carefully
