Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 200 gram cubed paneer


  • 2 tbsp grated paneer


  • 10-12 cashews


  • 1.5 cups tomato chopped


  • 2-3 garlic cloves


  • 1/2 inch Ginger grated


  • 2 cloves


  • 1 green cardamom


  • 1/2 cup water


  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric


  • 2-3 tbsp low fat cream


  • 3 tbsp butter


  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder


  • 1/ 2 teaspoon red chilli powder


  • 1/4 teaspoon fennel powder


  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder


  • 1 teaspoon kasuri methi


  • 1 cup water


  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala


  • 1 teaspoon oil


  • 1-2 green chilli slit


  • 3/4 teaspoon salt or as per taste


  • 1 bay leaf


  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves


  • 1/2 inch Ginger julienne

Directions

  • heat half cup water in a pan, add tomatoes cashews garlic ginger cardamom and cloves
  • Simmer and cook until tomato have completely softened over Low heat
  • allow to cool completely and grind that mixture to smooth paste. keep it aside
  • Heat 2 tbsp butter and oil in a pan add bay leaf and saute for few seconds
  • add onions and saute until light brown
  • add the ground paste, green chillies, all Spice powders and salt mix well
  • cook until mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan add sugar and mix well
  • add water and mix well bring to boil
  • Add cubed paneer and grated Paneer gently mix
  • cook for 2 minutes add in crushed kasuri Methi and mix well
  • add 1 tbsp butter and cream, mix well ; cook for 1 minute switch off
  • garnish with coriander leaves and Ginger julienne
  • Serve hot with Roti or pulao
