Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1 cup boiled rajma (kidney beans)


  • 1 cup rajma water or as needed


  • 4 boiled potatoes


  • 1/2 bread crumbs


  • 1 onion finely chopped


  • 1 tomato finely chopped


  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste


  • 4 tbsp oil


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 1/4 tbsp kashmiri red chilli powder


  • 1 tbsp or salt to taste


  • 1 tbsp coriander powder


  • 2 tsp garam masala


  • 1 tbsp dry mango powder


  • 5 tbsp imli, green and tomato chutney (each)


  • 4 tbsp sev


  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves


  • 1/4 cup chopped onion tomato and green chilli (for garnishing)


  • 1/4 cup oil or as needed for shallow frying the tikkies


  • 1 tbsp chaat masala or as needed

Directions

  • Heat 4 tbsp oil in a kadai. Add cumin seeds and let them sputter.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and saute for few seconds.
  • Add onion, green chilli and tomatoes and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add the masala and fry for 30 seconds.
  • Add boiled rajma and fry for 1 minute. Add rajma water little by little and cook it for 15-20 minutes or untill desired consistency. Rajma gravy is ready.
  • For the tikki= Mash the potatoes well in a bowl. Add bread crumbs, salt, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp garam masala and mix well.
  • Take small portion of the mixture and shape it into small tikkies. Repeat untill done.
  • Heat enough oil in a pan to shallow fry the tikkies and fry on medium flame untill golden brown and crispy from both sides. Tikkies are done.
  • Place tikkies in a plate. Add rajma gravy over it. Add chopped onion, green chilli and tomato. Add imli, green and tomato chutney. Sprinkle some chaat masala and sev. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve immediately. Enjoy.
