Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup bombay ravva


  • 2 1/2 cups water


  • 1 tablespoon salt


  • 1 tablespoon seasoning( mustard, jeera, urad daal)


  • 3 slit green chilly/ finely chopped


  • 1 stem curry leaves


  • 5 tablespoon oil


  • 1 small ginger optional


  • 3 garlic cloves optional

Directions

  • In a bowl add 2 1/2 cups of water, salt, green chilly, curry leaves and let them get boiled
  • Meanwhile in a hollow pan add oil and add seasoning after they start spluttering add ravva and saute it
  • Ravva starts changing its colour to slightly white
  • Make sure u add required amout of oil if not when you add water lump may form very easily
  • Few of them add garlic clove and ginger this time that is while adding seasing but some are allergic to that smell so you can avoid it
  • Now after ravva is well sauted add boiled water
  • Be careful while adding as you add water it may spilt on you
  • Cover with a lid and cook for 2 to 3 min
  • Later turn off the gas and mix thoroughly and again cover with a lid for 2min
  • Now squeeze lemon and serve hot
  • The above plating is done with the spatula which round in shape you will get that shape when upma is super hot
