Wash and pat dry the fish with kitchen towel.
Mix 1/2 tsp turmeric powder,1/2 tsp coriander powder , 1/2 tsp red chilli powder and 1 tsp salt and sprinkle on the fish pieces both sides.
In a shallow pan,add oil and then put the fish pieces and fry them till golden brown on both sides.
Drain the fish aside.
In the same pan ,add chopped onion and saute till golden brown.
Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute till raw smell goes off.
Add chopped tomatoes and green chillies.
Add the rest of the salt and dry spices and cook till the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
Add little water if it gets dry.
Now add the fish pieces and cover and cook for 4-5 mins.
Gently move the fish pieces so that they get coated with the masala too.
Add coriander leaves and switch off the gas.
Serve hot with roti or parantha.
