Amaranthus leaves chopped 1 bunch
1 Tomato chopped
1 cup Arhar Dal 1 cup Water 1/4cup water 1/2tsp Turmeric powder 1/2tsp Sambar Powder Salt to taste
Ingredients for seasoning - 1tsp Cumin seeds 1/2tsp mustard seeds 1/2tsp urad dal curry leaves as required 2 dried red chillies 2 green chillies 6-7 garlic cloves peeled 1 chopped onion
1.Firstly wash and clean arhar dal.
Clean Amaranthus leaves and chop them
Add dal and leaves to pressure cooker
Add chopped tomatoes
Add prepared seasoning and water. pressure cook it for 3-4 whistles.
After pressure leaves,remove lid add salt and turmeric powder and mash with hand masher.
Add some water as per required consistency and add sambar powder and boil for few mins and off stove.
Dish it out and serve with rice or roti.
