For hidden heart ; Preheat oven to 180°C, grease 25 X 11 cm loaf tin with butter and flour.
In a large bowl ,sift together flour,cocoa powder and baking powder(also pinch of salt if using unsalted butter),set aside.
In another large bowl, with the help of electric blender beat butter and icing sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy.
Add eggs , one at a time, mixing well between each addition.
Add vanilla extract,red food colour ,beat until well combined.
Now add dry ingredients and beat in low speed just until combined,add buttermilk followed by the rest of the dry ingredients. Don't over mix.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan ,bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Allow cake to cool down on a wire rack and then refrigerate it for 30 minutes.
Cut the cake into 1 inch deep sliced and then with the help of love shape cookie cutter cut each slice into love shape , keep aside.(save remaining cake for another treat)
For funfetti orange cake; Preheat oven to 180°C, grease 25 X 11 cm or same loaf tin with butter and flour.
In a large bowl ,sift together flour and baking powder ,set aside.
In another bowl, with the help of electric blender beat butter and icing sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy
Add eggs , one at a time, mixing well between each addition.
Add vanilla extract, orange essence and orange food colour ,beat until well combined
Now add dry ingredients and beat in low speed just until combined,add orange juice followed by the rest of the dry ingredients. Don't over mix
Add sprinkle ,mix it lightly.
Pour 3/4 of the mixture into the prepared loaf tin .
Now arrange the bottoms of the hearts into the batter in a tightly packed row.
Spoon over the remaining cake mixture, covering the hearts.
Spread some sprinkle over it.
Now bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the sides comes out clean.
Cool for 15 minutes in the tin ,demould it .
Cut into desired piece , serve it and enjoy.
