15-20 kokam fruit
1 tsp salt
Directions
Wash kokam fruit and wipe it clean.
Halve it into two.
Deseed it.
Add some salt and gently toss it.
Sun dry it for 2 days or more until you get a dry black kokam .
When added to recipes it gives blackish purple colour to the dish.
Store it into an airtight jar.
