  • 15-20 kokam fruit


  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

  • Wash kokam fruit and wipe it clean.
  • Halve it into two.
  • Deseed it.
  • Add some salt and gently toss it.
  • Sun dry it for 2 days or more until you get a dry black kokam .
  • When added to recipes it gives blackish purple colour to the dish.
  • Store it into an airtight jar.
