2 kgs Fresh Pork
4 tbsp Salt
2-3 long Bamboo Stewers
Take the fresh pork and cut them into medium thick strips about 10-12 cms long.
Add salt to the pork meat and thoroughly mix well.
Stewer the meat keeping a small gap in between.
Smoked them under the fire place for 2-3 days
After 2-3 days remove from the direct fire and place it in the corner side for about 2-3 days for slow smoking.
This is how the Nagas from Nagaland preserve meat. The same process follows for beef and buffalo meat.
