  • 1/2 kgs lemon

  • 150 gms sugar

  • 130 ml water

  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder

  • 1 tbsp salt and red chilly according to taste


  • First squeeze lemon and collect juice of it.
  • Now take a heavy bottom pan and add sugar and water in it to caramelize.
  • Now when both Incorporate well then add lime juice and boil till it thickens.
  • Add all spices and cook till desired consistency.
  • Now switch off the flame and let jam cool completely.
  • Store jam in sterilised glass jar in cool place.
  • Always use dry spoon to get jam from jar.
  • Shelf life of this jam is 6 months.
  • Spread on bread or on chapati to enjoy its tangy flavour wholesome.
