Fresh orange juice 250 ml
Orange 1 nos
Sugar 100 gms
Vinegar 1 tsp
Dry Orange food colour 1 pinch
First peel orange and deseed it. Remove outer white part of each orange slice too. Now keep orange pulp separate in a bowl.
Heat sugar in a heavy bottomed pan and let it melt.
Add orange juice, colour , vinegar and pulp in pan too.
Cook on low flame and keep stirring till it becomes bit thick.
Cook till slush start layering spatula.
Now off the flame and let it cool completely.
Store it in sterilised glass bottle or jar in refrigerator. Always use clean spoon to get slush out of jar
Make use of this slush in summers to make cocktails, mocktails and ice candies.
As in winters, oranges are available in abundance. So make this slush and store for summers to prepare ice drinks, ice pops etc
