  • Tomato 1kg(Finely chopped),salt to taste,Asafotida r Hing 1 tsp,Turmeric 1tsp,sesame oil 2 laddle,Mustard n urad dal 1tsp,Curry leaves 2 strips(optional),chilly powder 2tbs,whole red chilly 3.


  • In a heavy bottom kadai add sesame oil n once hot add mustard n urad dal wen splutters add red chilly n curry leaf.once fried add d asafoetida n nw add d chopped tomatos n required salt.Saute n add turmeric n close d lid n cook in medium flame till tomatos cooked well n turns into mushy consistensy.Then n thr open d lid n stir well.Finally add d red chilly powder n mix well cook in low flame for 5 min.Once oil separates switch off cool n store in air tight container. U can keep in room temp for 3 to 4 days.If u refrigerate u can store for a month.perfect side dish for picnic n long travel.It goes very well with all foods.Like idly,chappathi, roti,rice,bread,snack side dish n even curd rice too.During tomato sesaon u can make n enjoy.All time favorite recepi.
