100 grams deseeded dates
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon hing
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
1/3 teaspoon turmeric powder
3 chopped green chilli
curry leaves 1 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt or as per taste
2 teaspoon water to mix the masala
First immerse the dates with enough water
and microwave on high for 5 mins.
take it out and remove the seeds
you can also pressure cook it and remove
make a paste out of it with little water.
Mix all the masala with water
this will avoid burning of the masala
add vinegar salt and hing in the water too.
in hot oil add mustard green chilli and curry leaves
then add grated ginger and sauté well :
now add the masala water and boil for 1 min
now add the dates paste and cook till it
becomes thick no water should remain .
serve with bread or roti.
