Ingredients

Serves 6

  • Flaxseeds 2 cups

  • Black pepper powder 1 tsp

  • Chilly powder 1/2 tsp

  • Carom seeds 1/2 tsp

  • Salt 3/4 tsp

  • Water 2 cups

Directions

    Take a big pot. Soak flaxseeds in 2 cups water and mix very well. Keep it like this overnight or at least 3-4 hours.

    Next day, early morning add black pepper powder,chilly powder, carom seeds, salt and stir well for 1-2 minutes so that spices will coat evenly.

    Take a big plastic sheet and spread it. Now make small balls / badi on plastic sheet with help of hand or you can use piping bag. Keep little distance between two badi. Repeat this process till mixture lasts.

    Keep this plastic sheet in sunlight for 6 hours.

    Next day take out all badi and turn another side to dry in hot sunlight.

    Now keep all badi in a big plate / tray and keep in sunlight so that badi will be totally dry.

    Keep it in a dry airtight container.

    Whenever you want have these badi heat oil in a kadai on medium to high flame. Fry it as your requirement and have it with steamed rice, dal and any dry vegetables.
