  • Urad daal flour 1 cup

  • Moong daal flour 1/2 cup

  • Oil 3 tbs

  • Papad khar 1 tbs

  • Black pepper 1 tbs

  • Salt 1/2 tbs

  • Asafoetida 1/2 pinch


  • Soak the crushed black pepper powder and papad khar for 15 minutes.
  • Take a mixing bowl and add urad and moong daal flour. Next add salt, asafoetida , oil and mix very well.
  • Now start adding the black pepper water mixture into the flour and combine.
  • Knead very well to make a dough. Next keep it aside for 30 minutes.
  • After that apply some oil and knead again for 15 minutes to make it soft.
  • Now divide the dough and start making balls.
  • Grease the rolling pin and surface. Now roll the ball into chapati size shape.
  • Now using any circular cutter cut the 4 papads and keep aside. Repeat the process and make other pappads.
  • Now place the pappads under fan and let it dry from both the sides.
  • Next day place them under the sun and let it dry completely.
  • Now its ready , store them in a air tight container in cool place.
  • Now homemade pappad is ready you can enjoy them by frying , roasting them.
