  • 2 kilograms riped mangoes

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon oil for greasing the plates


  • Wash and peel mangoes
  • Chopped roughly
  • Grind smoothly to make a smooth puree along with sugar
  • Now put a heavy bottom pan on medium flame
  • Transfer the mango puree in it
  • Cook for 5 to 6 minutes till it start to leave the sides
  • Keep stirring full time
  • Now turn off the flame and add lemon juice
  • Now grease the plates
  • Spread a thick layer of about 1/2 inch in plates
  • Keep it in sunlight covered with a thin cloth for 2 days
  • Then cut and keep in a box
  • Can be kept till it ends ...my kids indulge within a day as its very tasty
