  • potatoes-1/2 kg

  • salt-1 1/2 tsp

  • Red chilly powder-1 tsp

  • cumin seed-1 tsp

  • oil-1 tsp


  • wash and boil the potatoes. After boiling peel and grate them.
  • Add salt, chilly powder.and cumin seeds and mix well with your palm to make them smooth. now make Small balls from the dough.
  • Take 2 small thick plastic sheet of same size.
  • Grease both sheets with oil and put the potato ball on one sheet and cover with another sheet.
  • now roll with a rolling pin or press with your hands to make a small poori.
  • Remove the upper plastic sheet and transfer the papad on the big plastic sheet carefully. Repeat with all the potatoes balls. flip the side after 2 hours.
  • It will take 1-2 days to completely dry in the sun light.
  • store in air tight container and use throughout the year.
