  • Guava 1 kg

  • Sugar 1/2 kg

  • Citric acid 2 tbs

  • Red gel food colour 1 drop


  • Firstly wash, clean and chop the guavas. Then add water upto guavas submerged.
  • Now presuure cook it for 3 whistles. Next let it cool completely.
  • Now sieve the water and pulp. Keep the pulp for jam.
  • Now grind the pulp into fine paste and sieve the guava pulp to remove seeds if any. Keep aside.
  • Now preheat a pan, add sugar, little bit of water and let it melt.
  • When it melts pour tge guava pulp and stir continuously.
  • Next add citric acid and gel based food colour. Mix very well and cook it until it become thick.
  • When its done let it cool completely.
  • Tansfer into clean and dry jar in air tight container.
  • Tip: use only clean and dry spoon, air tight tge container after every use.
