Ingredients

Serves 5

  • 1 cup shredded cabbage

  • 1/4 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds

  • 1 tbsp mustard seeds

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice adjust

  • 1 teaspoon salt or as per taste

  • 1.5 tbsp red chilli powder

  • 2-3 tbsp oil

  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

Directions

    Clean shredded cabbage and dry thoroughly

  • 02

    Grind mustard seeds and Fenugreek seeds to powder

  • 03

    To cabbage add lemon juice, ground powder, salt,red chilli powder, garlic and mix well

  • 04

    Heat oil and add to cabbage. Mix well. mixture might look dry, that's ok

    Store in airtight container without refrigeration in cool dry place. After 6 hours, cabbage would have released water. Mix pickle well

    Store in cool dry place. After 24 hours , give it a good mix.

    Check for salt and sourness. Add salt and lemon juice only if required. mix well

    Now store it for 2 days undisturbed

  • 09

    Serve as desired. The pickle remains fresh for 15 days under refrigeration. Use clean dry spoons while serving
