  • 1/4 cups peeled garlic

  • 1/2 cups thinly sliced onion

  • 1 tbsp peanuts

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

  • 2 tbsp kashmiri red chilli powder

  • 1 pinch salt to taste


  • First heat a pan and low the flame.
  • Now dry roast the onion until slightly browned.Take out in a plate.
  • Now saute garlic till it becomes pinkish. Keep aside.
  • Dry roast peanuts until browned.
  • Remove the pink peel once it cooled and keep aside.
  • Dry roast sesame seeds until golden brown and keep aside.
  • Let all the roasted ingredients cool nicely. Now add all the ingredients in a mixer jar along with Kashmiri red chilli powder and salt and blend to make a coarse powder.
  • Store in an airtight container in refrigerator for up to 10 days.
  • This is the secret chutney to take vada pav to a different level, which will be irrestible.
