  • 500 gm dhuli moong dal

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp chilli powder

  • 1 pinch hing(aesofotida)


  • Soak moong dal for 5-6 hours.
  • Grind the soaked dal with less quantity of water into thick paste.
  • Mix salt, chilli powder n hing to the dal paste ( we can mix little water if consistency is too thick).
  • Now spread a plastic sheet/ cotton sheet under sunlight. Take little quantity of dal paste in your hands n with the help of fingers drop small quantity dal paste over sheet n repeat the same process till dal paste gets over.
  • Keep these sheets under sunlight for 2-3 days n keep it inside at night. Mangodi will become hard on drying. We can store them in jar.
  • Use: roast Mangodi with little quantity of oil , use it for making delicious subji with potatoes, tomato n curd.
