  • Jackfruit 1 kg

  • Mustard seeds 1/2 cup

  • Fennel seeds 1/2 cup

  • Feenugreek seeds 1/4th cup

  • Cumin seeds 1/2 cup

  • Caraway seeds 1/4th cup

  • Mustard oil 2 cup

  • Salt 1/2 cup

  • Turmeric powder 2 tbs

  • Kashmiri Red Chilli powder 2 tbs

  • Citric acid 2 tbs


  • Wash, clean and chop the jackfruit. Boil the jackfruit for 10 minutes then sieve and dry it completely no moisture should be there.
  • Next dry roast the mention seeds except caraway seeds. Then grind into coarse powder.
  • Take a large mixing bowl add jackfruit, salt, turmeric powder , kashmiri red chilli powder and combine well.
  • In a pan add mustard oil and heat it until smoke comes out. Now cool it down completely and keep aside.
  • In a mixing bowl add freshly prepared pickle masala , caraway seeds ,mustard oil, citric acid with prepared jackfuit. Use dry laddle to combine very well.
  • Transfer the prepared pickle into sterlize jar and keep under sun for 5 days.
  • Tio : use only dry spoon , clean hand. Cover lid after every use, add mustard oil if required by heat it until smoke comes out and cool it down completely.
