Ingredients

1 kgs red ripe tomatoes
950 gms sugar
4 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
Directions
Blanch and peel tomatoes
Blend in a mixie and strain the puree
Add the sugar and allow it to boil
simmer and stir continuously
Add salt ad lemon juice and mix
If you want you can add food colour at this stage
Cool and store in sterilised bottle
