Ingredients

Serves : 50
  • 1 kgs red ripe tomatoes


  • 950 gms sugar


  • 4 tsp lemon juice


  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions

  • Blanch and peel tomatoes
  • Blend in a mixie and strain the puree
  • Add the sugar and allow it to boil
  • simmer and stir continuously
  • Add salt ad lemon juice and mix
  • If you want you can add food colour at this stage
  • Cool and store in sterilised bottle
