  • Rice flour 1 cup

  • Salt 2 tbs

  • Cumin 1 tbs

  • Green chilies 2

  • Oil for greasing 1-2 tbs

  • Oil for fry 1 cup


  • First of all in 2 cup of water add 1 cup of rice flour, salt ,chopped green chilies(optional )and whisk it to make a smooth mixture. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  • Mean while take 2 cup of water in a heavy bottom vessel and tranfer it to heat. Cover it and give it a boil.
  • Next to cook the papads in steam we need to take a small size plate which can be easily place on the vessel.
  • Now grease the plate, pour and spread evenly 1- 1.5 laddle batter on the greased plate.
  • Now place the plate on the vessel and cover it and let it cook in steam for 2 minutes.
  • Next after 2 minutes remove the lid and you can observe that the colour of papad has been changed a bit. Now remove it and let it cool for few seconds.
  • Take out the steamed papad carefully and place it on a plastic sheet.
  • Repeat the same process to make other papads.
  • Now sun dried the papads for 2-3 days and turn the sides in between.
  • Now after 3 days your papads are ready for consume. Preheat a pan with oil and when the oil is hot , put the papads and fry it from both the sides.
  • These papads are very crunchy & munchy and can be store for long days in air tight container.
