Ingredients for rice Flower:carrot finely chopped 1 nos
capsicum finely chopped 1 nos
grated paneer 1/2 cups
spring onion finely chopped 1/4 cups
cooked rice 1/2 cups
onion finely chopped 1 nos
black pepper 1/8 tsp
Oregano 1/2 tsp
Chilli chopped 1/8 tsp
Salt to taste 1 tsp
uncooked basmati Rice 1/2 cups
Orange food colour 3-4 drop
Green food colour 3-4 drop
First divide uncooked rice in 3 portions. Now wash and soak uncooked rice for 30 minutes in green coloured , orange coloured and in simple water.
After 30 minutes drain water and spread rice on a cloth. Keep aside.
In a mixing bowl add cooked rice and rest of the ingredients. Mix it nicely.
Now wet your hands and take small portion from this mixture and make balls.
Now take vegetable balls and roll them on soaked rice.The rice will stick to them.
Put these rice coated vegetable flowers in steamer for 15 minutes.
The vegetable balls will magically transform into beautiful colourful flowers.
let it cool for 5 minutes . Remove carefully and serve hot with mustard sauce or any Chutney of your choice.
Yummy tri-colour rice flowers are ready to relish.
