Cut the kada/quail into 4 pieces and wash it thoroughly.
Marinate the quail in the above-mentioned ingredients (for frying) and keep aside for 30 mins.
Heat oil in a pan & shallow fry kada/quail, keep aside.
In the same oil, add sliced shallots, ginger, garlic, green chilly & curry leaves; saute well.
Add the turmeric powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder & pepper powder; saute till raw smell goes off. Next, add sliced tomato & mix well.
Add some hot water, cook for few minutes till the tomato is well done. Add salt to taste.
Once the gravy is ready, add fried quail and mix well. Next, add some hot water & salt to taste. Mix well and cook on low flame till the gravy thickens.
