Sweet And Spicy Pepper Jam

  • 1 green bell pepper

  • 1 yellow bell pepper

  • 1 red bell pepper

  • 1 jalpeno pepper or thick Chilli

  • 1/2 tspn red pepper flakes

  • 1/4 th tspn salt

  • 1/4 th cup water

  • 1/4 th cup cider vinegar

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 small packet of jelly powder


  • Take a bowl and put sugar and jelly powder into it.
  • Mix it well and keep it aside.
  • Now roughly chopp all the peppers by removing seeds.
  • Add these peppers into the food processor and churn it till they are well chopped but do not make it pulpy.
  • Now take a heavy bottom pan and transfer these chopped peppers into it.
  • Add cider vinegar and water to it.
  • Now add sugar mixer also to it.
  • Keep it on high flame and keep stirring continously.
  • When it comes to high boil then switch the flame to medium from high.
  • Boil it for five mins and switch off the gas when it is completely cooked.
  • Now fill the clean jars with this jam carefully within a 1/4 inch of the top.
  • Before putting the lids on the jars, clean them off so that it gets a good seal.
  • This sweet and spicy jam goes well with toasted bread.
