Tricolour Meetha Paratha With Meetha Sauce

  • 1½ cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 pinch salt

  • 1 tbsp oil ,for kneading dough

  • 1/2 tsp orange food colour

  • 1/2 tsp green food colour

  • 11-12 pieces of kalakand

  • 3-4 tbsp clarified butter /ghee, frying parathas

  • 3 tbsp condensed milk

  • 1 tsp milk powder


  • Firstly, in a bowl, take flour, oil, salt, mix it properly, now add water intermittently and make a semi soft dough, divide the dough into three parts, add colour into two parts, prepare an orange dough, a green dough and a white dough.
  • Now divide each part into four equal size balls, two balls needed to make a paratha.
  • Take two balls and roll with a rolling pin, make small rotis, place 1-2 peices of broken kalakand in the centre of rotis and cover with another roti.
  • Seal the sides properly with little water, dust some flour ( if required) and roll it again.
  • Cut the edges with cutter, ( this step is optional).
  • Prepare all the parathas by same process one by one.
  • Heat non stick pan, put some ghee and fry parathas properly on both sides.
  • For preparing coloured sweet sauce, take 2 small size bowls, mix condensed milk, milk powder and food colour.
  • Serve hot with chilled sweet sauce
