Soak the urad dal and rice separately for approximately 4 hours.
Then grind them and mix the urad dal batter with your hand for 10 minutes to make it so floppy.
Then mix the urad dal batter into the rice batter and add salt in it . Mix and cover it for 1 hour.
In the meantime prepare the 3 different times of halwa ( carrot,paneer and green peas).
Heat a pan and put half of the ghee in it. Then add the grated carrot and saute it for sometime and then add half of the condensed milk and 1/3 of cardamom powder and some splitted cashew nuts and mix it well. If you need you may add sugar in it.
When they become dry and halwa becomes well cooked then switch off the flame.
Strain all the water from the boiled green peas and grind it with the pistachios.Then repeat the process of carrot halwa you can make the green peas halwa. and keep it also aside.
Then in a pan put the freshly prepared chhena and saute it for sometime and add the sugar,cardamom powder and cashew nuts in it . Now the paneer halwa is now ready.
Put a heavy bottomed vessel on gas top and add 1/4 of water in it and allow it to boil in high flame.
Then take a steamer and cover it with a wet cloth and then put some batter in it.
Then make a layer of green peas halwa in it.
Again put some batter and put a layer of paneer halwa in it and atlast make a layer of batter and again s layer of carrot halwa and then again a layer of batter in it.
At the top again put the halwas and then allow it to boil for 50-60 minutes in low flame and covering with a lid.
After that you can check it whether it is cooked properly of not and then switch off the flame.
After cooling down replace it from the cloth and place a star anise at the middle of it.
Now your Tricolor muaan pitha is ready to serve.
