Ingredients

Serves : 20
  • 1 kgs raw jackfruit


  • 1/2 cups salt


  • 2 tbsp cumin seeds


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 3 tbsp lemon juice


  • 3 tbsp vinegar


  • 1 cups oil

Directions

  • Apply oil to the knife and peel the jackfruit. Further cut it into one inch cubes.
  • Pressure cook the pieces till two whistles.( jackfruit should be firm )
  • Heat oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds, mustard seeds , sea salt and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add cooked jackfruit cubes, turmeric powder and cook for five minutes.
  • Add lemon juice and vinegar and stir well and remove from heat.
  • Put in airtight jar and store.
