Wash and chop the guavas into small pieces
Heat up the water in a large vessel
After one boil add guavas and let them boil
When guavas become soft drain the water and let them cool in a bowl
Mash these guavas and strain through the jelly cloth
Now put a pan on medium flame add this stained guava pulp along with juice ,sugar and citric acid
Now bring this Mixture to a boil and stir well
Let this mixture thickens for a while
When the mixture is thick enough for a jam like consistency then switch off the flame
Let it cool down at room temperature
Store this guava jam in seal tight containers or bottles
Enjoy this guava jam with bread or parathas
