Ingredients

Serves : 20
  • 500 gram pink guavas


  • 800 gram sugar


  • 2 cup water


  • half of 1 tsp citric acid

Directions

  • Wash and chop the guavas into small pieces
  • Heat up the water in a large vessel
  • After one boil add guavas and let them boil
  • When guavas become soft drain the water and let them cool in a bowl
  • Mash these guavas and strain through the jelly cloth
  • Now put a pan on medium flame add this stained guava pulp along with juice ,sugar and citric acid
  • Now bring this Mixture to a boil and stir well
  • Let this mixture thickens for a while
  • When the mixture is thick enough for a jam like consistency then switch off the flame
  • Let it cool down at room temperature
  • Store this guava jam in seal tight containers or bottles
  • Enjoy this guava jam with bread or parathas
