In a bowl take the curd and blend it smooth. Add the baking Soda and keep aside for 5-10 mins.
In a mixing bowl take the oil and sugar and let sugar dissolve. Add the essence, curd baking soda mixture and mix well.
Sieve in the flour and baking powder and make a smooth batter.
In a small bowl coat the chocolate chips with a tsp of flour.
Add the chocolate chips(reserving some for topping) and chopped strawberries and give a gently stir.
Preheat oven at 180° for 10 mins. Grease a cake pan.
Pour the batter into the greased pan. Lay the strawberry slices and chocolate chips on top and bake for 35-40 mins.
Take out of the oven, let it stand for 5-10 mins. Invert and let it cool down completely. Cut and serve.
