Ingredients

Serves : 8
  • 1 1/2 cup flour


  • 1 tsp baking powder


  • 1/2 tsp baking soda


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • 3/4 cup sugar


  • 1 cup curd


  • 1/2 cup oil


  • 1 tsp vanilla essence


  • 1 1/2 cup chopped plums


  • 1/3 cup sugar


  • 2 tsp cornflour


  • 1 tsp lemon juice


  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream


  • 1/3 cup icing sugar

Directions

  • Sieve the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together and keep aside
  • Whisk sugar and curd well till sugar dissolves
  • Add oil and vanilla essence and mix well
  • Fold the dry ingredients in wet ones till no lumps
  • Pour it in a greased baking dish
  • Bake in preheated oven at 180 degree Celsius for 25-30 mins
  • To make plum sauce add chopped plum,sugar and lemon juice in a pan
  • Stir it on low flame.
  • Mix cornflour in little water.
  • After 4-5 mins of stirring add the cornflour to the pan.
  • Stir till it gets little thick ,then switch off the gas
  • Whip the heavy cream and sugar together
  • Let the cake cool after it is done,for 10 mins
  • With the back of wooden spoon make half inch holes in the cake
  • Spread the plum sauce on the cake and let some go in the holes too
  • After the cake is completely cool,spread the whipping cream on the cake
  • Spread the leftover sauce on the cream and spread it with spoon
  • Let the cake cool for 3-4 hours and then serve
