In a bowl mix flour,salt and sugar and whisk with a fork
Add cubed chilled butter in the flour.
using a fork cut butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
Add vinegar and give a slight mix.
Now add teaspoons of chilled water
Gently knead the dough till everything comes together. Shape into a ball.
Cling wrap and refrigerate it for at least 1 hours.
Take the chilled dough from fridge on a lightly floured working surface and roll into a big circle
Apply the soft butter evenly on the rolled circle
Sprinkle Brown sugar evenly over the butter
Arrange sliced bananas in the centre of the circle. Like shown in the picture
Fold the edges of the dough over the filling
In a cup mix melted butter and milk. use this to brush the crust on the edges. Add soft cream-cheese over the filling
Sprinkle Brown sugar over the crust and the filling.
In a cup mix 3 tablespoons of Banoffee Caramel and milk to dilute a little. Generously drizzle on top of bananas. Add chopped walnuts on top.
Line and grease a baking tray with parchment paper. Bake for 40-50 minutes. Till the crust is crunchy
Once baked remove directly on a serving plate. Drizzle some more of the diluted Banoffee Caramel sauce, for that extra yumminess
Galettes are best eaten warm, topped with dollop of Ice-cream or whipped cream. But me and my family like to relish this as is.
This is a must try easy and tasty dessert. Can be had any time of the day.
