Add four eggs and one cup powdered sugar and whisk till it combines well
Add 1 cup oil ,lemon zest ,one cup curd and one teaspoon vanilla essence .Whisk until everything combines well.
Sift all purpose flour and baking powder together. Gently fold the dry ingredients to the wet.
Mix the batter for few seconds and the pound cake batter is ready to bake.
Grease a loaf Pan and bake the cake batter for 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 degree centigrade.
when it is done transfer it to a cooling rack and let it cool for few minutes
Meanwhile roast almond flakes for 5 minutes or till it turns golden brown.
For making chocolate frosting,in a clean dry bowl take one and half cup whipping cream and whisk until soft peaks.
To it add 6 tbsp cocoa powder and 6 tbsp icing sugar and whip till stiff peaks form.
Cut the cake lengthwise into 3 pieces
Apply the chocolate whipped cream on the sides of the cake piece.
Apply evenly with an offset spatula. Apply chocolate frosting again and repeat the process for all the layers.
Transfer the chocolate torte cake to a serving dish flatly. Sprinkle the roasted almond flakes evenly and pack well on all sides.
Garnish it with few cherries and its ready to serve.
