Whole wheat flour 2 cups
Jaggery powder 1.25 cup
Baking powder 1 teaspoon
Baking soda 1/3 teaspoon
Walnut powder 1 tablespoon
Milk 1 cup
Unscented oil 1/4 cup
Sprig vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Sieve wheat flour, baking powder and baking soda twice and keep aside.
Now add walnut powder and vanilla extract in dry ingredients and mix nicely.
Add milk, oil and jaggery powder in a jar . Blend it nicely so that everything Incorporated nicely.
Now add milk mixture in dry ingredients gradually in 3 batches to make lump free batter.
Grease and dust cake mould . Pour batter in it and tap it twice. Bake at 180 degrees for 40 minutes in preheated oven.
Do toothpick test. If it comes clean then cake is ready. Now Keep aside to cool for only 5 minutes.
Garnish cake with walnuts and chocolate syrup. serve immediately.
Mom used to serve this cake warm. This cake tastes best , when its warm.
